Companies Hoard Beachfront in Veraguas & Darien

In today's la prensa in the Panorama Section there is an interesting article about companies hoarding over beachfront properties and coasts throughout panama, mainly in Veraguas and Darien. These companies that have been posing as eco resort developers thought they would be able to buy these lands and title them for pennies per square meter as promised by the Martin Torrijos Government, but now Ricardo Martinelli's government has changed the tune of the dance and will require a higher fee to title these very valuable properties. They government states they want to do away with speculation and also assist the poor in titling their valuable pieces of land.
